That started with the early roll-out of Android 5.0 Lollipop, followed by an upgrade that brought the company\u2019s own software up to a par with Material Design, and now it\u2019s rolling out Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The update delivers performance and bug fixes, some to <span id=\"itxthook1p\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap\"><span id=\"itxthook1w\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap itxtnewhookspan\">app<\/span><\/span> responsiveness and the UI, and OpenGL4.5 support, but also includes a few other consumer-facing enhancements. NVIDIA said that its community asked for the return of the SHIELD Power Control Menu, which is included in this update. Additionally, the \u201cCamera Awesome\u201d application uses the Tegra K1 processor for live-previews of effects applied to videos and photos. Finally, the update includes \u201cenhanced support and optimizations for memory intensive <span id=\"itxthook2p\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap\"><span id=\"itxthook2w\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap itxtnewhookspan\">app<\/span><\/span>,\u201d so that everything continues to run smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>The NVIDIA SHIELD <span id=\"itxthook3p\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap\"><span id=\"itxthook3w\" class=\"itxtrst itxtrstspan itxtnowrap itxtnewhookspan\">Tablet<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is one of the best Android tablets on the market right now, and it\u2019s a top choice for gamers.
