{"id":1504,"date":"2015-02-02T08:05:58","date_gmt":"2015-02-02T16:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kmtechblog.com\/?p=1504"},"modified":"2015-02-02T08:05:58","modified_gmt":"2015-02-02T16:05:58","slug":"pebble-sells-1-millionth-smartwatch-new-products-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmtech.blog\/?p=1504","title":{"rendered":"Pebble Sells 1 Millionth Smartwatch, New Products Coming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pebble recently sold its 1 millionth smartwatch, according to statements made by CEO\u00a0Eric Migicovsky in a recent interview with\u00a0<em>The Verge. <\/em>Migicovsky also discussed his company\u2019s plans for 2015, and how he plans to continue to fight in an increasingly crowded wearable space.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Migicovsky told\u00a0<em>The Verge<\/em> that Pebble will launch new products this year \u2013 though he didn\u2019t specifically say when \u2013 and added that Pebble has created an entirely new software platform that will launch with its new hardware.\u00a0\u201dWe\u2019ve found a new framework to use as an interaction model on the watch,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Migicovsky didn\u2019t provide details on his new platform, though\u00a0<em>The Verge<\/em> said that he expects it will be unlike any other software available on wearables today, and that the focus won\u2019t actually be on apps. That could be a huge strategy shift, especially since Pebble has put a huge focus on developers in the past.<\/p>\n<p>Pebble\u2019s hardware is really going to need to wow consumers.
