The company said this morning that it plans to livestream the event, which kicks off at 8 p.m. Pacific.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tesla\u2019s tweet includes a teaser image, though it doesn\u2019t reveal much about Tesla\u2019s plans. We get the final outline of some sort of object. The new batteries will apparently be available to rent with an upfront installation fee followed by small monthly payments.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll presumably be able to charge the battery overnight when electricity costs less, and then use it to power everything in your house throughout the day. It could also prove useful during a power outage.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re still waiting for the specifics, and it\u2019s possible Tesla could surprise us with something else entirely.
