There still isn\u2019t a whole lot of 4K content available, but Amazon and Netflix have tried to fix that by streaming TV shows and movies in the ultra high definition standard. Comcast has taken a similar approach with a special app on Samsung TVs, but now it\u2019s getting prepared to offer 4K content through a set-top box.<\/p>\n

The firm announced its brand-new Xi4 box that supports 4K UHD content and will be available later this year to customers. It will also continue to provide content, and said customers will be able to stream \u201chundreds\u201d of titles from its Xfinity catalog, including\u00a0Outlander, Power, Playing House, Satisfaction, Suits\u00a0<\/em>and movies such as\u00a0Rocky Mountain Express, Ultimate Wave Tahiti, Antarctica, Fighter Pilot<\/em> and\u00a0Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia<\/em>. Sounds like you\u2019ll at least be able to show off how sharp that new 4K TV is.<\/p>\n Comcast will follow the Xi4 will a new box, the Xi5, next year, which will add support for HDR programming.
