Microsoft has been hard at work on its Windows 10 preview builds for PCs, tablets, and phones, but it is yet to show us how the new platform will be integrated into the Xbox One. According to Xbox head Phil Spencer, we\u2019ll have to wait until after the summer for that.<\/p>\n

When asked on Twitter when an \u201cXbox One Windows 10 beta\u201d would be available, Spencer replied with a short and simple response that read, \u201cIt will be post-summer.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s going to be at least three or four months before we can try out universal app support across Xbox One and Windows 10, then, and even longer before the upgrades are rolled out to the public. And that\u2019s going to be a painful wait for Xbox fans.<\/p>\n
Aside from the short teasers Microsoft provided at its Windows 10 event back in January, which showed games being played across Xbox One and PC,\u00a0we still aren\u2019t completely sure what Windows 10 will look like\u00a0on the company\u2019s console.<\/p>\n
With E3 right around the corner, however, we could find out a whole lot more \u2014 though you might not want to get your hopes up too much.<\/p>\n
Microsoft\u2019s focus for now is clearly on delivering Windows 10 for PCs, and Windows 10 Mobile for smartphones \u2014 and that\u2019s understandable. Fortunately, we won\u2019t have to wait as long to get our hands on that, with a Windows 10 launch scheduled for this summer.<\/p>\n
