It\u2019s <em>voluntary<\/em> so, in other words,\u00a0the government or some other watchdog group didn\u2019t ask it to do so, it decided to pull the tablet on its own. But why?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The company said that its 8-inch SHIELD Tablet has issues overheating as a result of battery issues, and that consumers might face a fire hazard with the device. It affects NVIDIA SHILED tablets sold between July 2014 and July 2015 (last month), which means pretty much all of the devices are at risk.
