Square on Monday finally deployed its\u00a0new NFC-based\u00a0payment solution\u00a0that supports Apple\u2019s mobile payment solution. The company said that it launched the new reader across just 100 businesses in the United States, in cities such as St. Louis, San Francisco, New York City and Chicago, that allows folks who own an iPhone 6 or newer to make a payment with a simple tap of their phone.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The new solution was announced over the summer and also supports credit and debit cards that take advantage of chip security. Square said the contactless reader \u201ccomes ready out of the box and connects with the Square Stand or a mobile device,\u201d in addition to the company\u2019s mobile application.
