The automaker unveiled the news at the North American International\u00a0Auto Show in Detroit, along with some details about what to expect.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve heard our customers loud and clear,\u201d said Ford\u2019s Joe Hinrichs, president of The Americas. \u201cThey want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive. Ranger is for truck buyers who want an affordable, functional, rugged and maneuverable pickup that\u2019s Built Ford Tough. Bronco will be a no-compromise midsize 4\u00d74 utility for thrill seekers who want to venture way beyond the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Bronco and Ranger are two of Ford\u2019s most beloved vehicles. Few cars\u00a0beat the look and ruggedness of an old Bronco, especially when it has\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/classicfordbroncos.com\/p-30233-our-process.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">been restored<\/a>. Unfortunately, consumers who don\u2019t know any better may associate the vehicle with an infamous car chase rather than for being one of the industry\u2019s coolest SUVs.<\/p>\n<p>Just look at that photo below.<\/p>\n<p>The Ranger, meanwhile, will be all-new and \u201ctailored to the needs of North American customers with unique front styling, engines and features,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mrlevine?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Levine<\/a>, Ford product communications manager for North America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Technically, the Ranger never went away and is sold in some markets around the world. However, those models won\u2019t inform the version Ford brings to the U.S., as Levine said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3164\" src=\"http:\/\/kmtechblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ford-bronco-restored-630x420.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>It\u2019ll be a while before they debut<\/h3>\n<p>While Ford announced intentions on releasing these vehicles, don\u2019t expect them to hit anytime soon. In fact, Ford said the Ranger won\u2019t hit its North American vehicle lineup until 2019, while the Bronco isn\u2019t expected to be released as part of its global portfolio until 2020.<\/p>\n<p>No concepts or renders were officially released by Ford though there have been some renders of the Bronco floating around.
