But what happens when someone posts bad news? Maybe you don\u2019t want to comment, but still want to acknowledge that you\u2019ve read the post. Facebook doesn\u2019t really have an option for that space, but that may change soon.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<em>BBC<\/em>, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently confirmed that there\u2019s real interest in launching some form of button that allows you to express something other than a Like.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of times people share things on Facebook that are sad moments in their lives,\u201d Zuckerberg said. \u201cOften people tell us that they don\u2019t feel comfortable pressing \u2018like\u2019 because \u2018like\u2019 isn\u2019t the appropriate sentiment. The thing that I think is very valuable is that there are more sentiments that people want to express.\u201d Zuckerberg specifically said that Facebook won\u2019t add a \u201cdislike\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think there needs to be a voting mechanism on Facebook whether posts are good or bad,\u201d he said, according to <em>Marketing Land<\/em>. \u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s socially very valuable or good for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He explained that he doesn\u2019t want people to use a dislike button to \u201cdemean\u201d people,\u00a0and Facebook is still looking for the right solution.
