Developer Lucas Pope has confirmed that it was all a \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d on his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dukope\/status\/543480419581038592\">Twitter page<\/a>, and he will be resubmitting the game with the original artwork patched back in.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just talked to Apple. The initial rejection for porn was a misunderstanding on their part. They suggested I resubmit with the nudity option.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Lucas Pope (@dukope) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dukope\/status\/543480419581038592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 12, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Papers, Please<\/em> hit a bit of a hiccup last week in being ported to the iPad after Pope confirmed that Apple required the game\u2019s nudity to be censored out. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmtechblog.com\/2014\/12\/12\/papers-please-censored-for-ipad-release-because-of-pornographic-content\/\">As mentioned before<\/a>,<em>Papers, Please<\/em> does feature full-frontal nudity, but it is handled tastefully through low-resolution artwork and is actually a main part of the gameplay in later levels.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, it was needlessly slapped with censorship after it was wrongfully described as \u201cpornographic content.\u201d Pope took to the public, which was pretty universal in decrying the censorship, and now he gets to have his way.<\/p>\n<p>You can pick up <em>Papers, Please<\/em> on the iPad for $7.99.
