If you picked up Halo: The Master Chief Collection this fall, 343 Industries is giving you some more content to look forward to. Halo 4‘s Spartan Ops has been added and Halo 3: ODST‘s campaign is in development as DLC.
Spartan Ops is part of today’s Master Chief Collection update and includes all 10 episodes. Spartan Ops was a mission-based cooperative mode and was one of the highlights of Halo 4. While Halo 2 is certainly the fan favorite of the collection, this is a great reason to boot up Halo 4. The update also features enhancements for matchmaking and other multiplayer issues.
Looking a bit further out, Halo 3: ODST is in development as DLC for The Master Chief Collection.
The good news for those of you who have already played The Master Chief Collection on your Xbox profile is that you’ll get ODST freeas part of 343 Industries’ apology for the multiplayer woes the game has had following its Nov. 11 launch. The bad news is that ODST‘s Firefight mode will not be making the transition; 343 has no plans to do so, either. Like the other games in the collection, ODST will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
