Sprint Promises to Cut Your Wireless Bill In Half

Sprint is taking the wireless price wars up a notch today with a new promotion meant to steal customers from AT&T and Verizon. The smaller carrier says it will cut your current bill in half when you switch networks. So if you’re currently paying $200 per month your bill would drop to $100 when you switch to Sprint.

The new offer, which will be available this Friday, includes unlimited talk, text and the same amount of data you’re currently paying for on AT&T or Verizon. While the promotion itself may be temporary, Sprint says your monthly bill won’t go up as long as you stick to the new contract.

“This great deal is not just a promotion,” said Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure. “This will be the customer’s ongoing price.”

To take advantage Sprint’s offer head to to the company’s website via the source link below and upload a copy of your most recent wireless bill. Then head to a nearby Sprint store with a copy of the bill, and a carrier rep will set up your new contract. The company will even pay up to $350 towards early termination fees from Verizon or AT&T, though you will have to hand over your current smartphone as part of the deal.

It’s a pretty bold move from Sprint, which has struggled to compete against larger carriers like AT&T and Verizon. The offer should help bring in new customers, though it’s worth noting that Sprint isn’t going after T-Mobile with its latest promotion.
