LG just unveiled the follow-up to the G Flex on Monday, when it announced the G Flex 2. It’s the second curved smartphone from LG, and it offers several improvements over last year’s model, while also including some solid hardware specs to easily make it a flagship device.

The G Flex 2 is smaller than the original, with a 5-inch display, but it packs a sharper 1080p resolution display. It also offers either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, depending on where it’s sold, 16GB or 32GB of storage, an improved 13-megapixel camera that offers both hardware and software advancements over last year’s model, a more scratch resistant back cover and front panel, a microSD card slot that supports up to an insane 2TB of storage and an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor.

Talk about a powerhouse, huh?

Of course, you’ll also get other trimmings like a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, the laser-autofocus shooter on the back, an IR blaster up top, NFC, USB 2.0 and more. Better yet, LG plans to launch this beauty in red. The G Flex 2 will launch in South Korea this month followed by other markets, though pricing and carrier partners weren’t announced. Considering the G Flex launched on AT&T last year, we’re hoping its successor also launches there, too.
