OnePlus just revealed another detail for the upcoming OnePlus 2. The company announced on Tuesday that it plans to pack the device with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, giving it a big advantage over most current flagship Android phones.

That should mean faster load times, smoother action for games and slow-motion video, and some “never-before-seen energy saving features.” Additional RAM also means improved multi-tasking, with more apps able to run in the background. OnePlus notes that LPDDR4 RAM also consumes less power.

We already know that the OnePlus 2 is set to pack USB-C support, a fingerprint reader, a Snapdragon 810 processor and will cost less than $450. Other rumored specs include a dual lens camera in back, an 8-megapixel shooter in front and some sort of metal frame.

The new phone won’t get an official unveiling until July 27, when the company plans to reveal the OnePlus 2 with some sort of virtual reality presentation. However, a few contest winners have already seen the device and called it “premium,” “fabulous” and “perfect.”

We can’t wait to see the OnePlus 2, though we assume the Chinese phone-maker has plenty more tidbits to share before the final announcement. Check back soon for the latest news, leaks and rumors surrounding this very highly anticipated smartphone.
