Get ready to buy artisanal cheese with Apple Pay. Square on Monday finally deployed its new NFC-based payment solution that supports Apple’s mobile payment solution. The company said that it launched the new reader across just 100 businesses in the United States, in cities such as St. Louis, San Francisco, New York City and Chicago, that allows folks who own an iPhone 6 or newer to make a payment with a simple tap of their phone.

The new solution was announced over the summer and also supports credit and debit cards that take advantage of chip security. Square said the contactless reader “comes ready out of the box and connects with the Square Stand or a mobile device,” in addition to the company’s mobile application. Since Apple Pay requires a fingerprint for verification, a buyer doesn’t need to worry about signing his or her signature.
