Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy‘s unexpected success has lit a fire under the pants of Activision to crank out more games with more beloved mascots it bought from Sony. No longer relegated to a spokesperson for Skylanders, the one and only Spyro the Dragon will be making his grand return to video games in a new bundle that remasters his three original classics.

Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon are all excellent platformers that put Insomniac Games on the map and hold up very well even in this day and age. All three games will be remade from the ground up, similar to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, in the upcoming Spyro Reignited Trilogy now confirmed for a release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Controls, cutscenes, and even Spyro’s pesky Playstation-era control issues will be completely revamped in these new remakes. Activision footed the bill to re-record all of the voice-overs and even brought in the original voice actor, Tom Kenny, to reprise the iconic character.
