It took roughly a day, based on YouTube time stamps, but one Minecraft fan took to recreating Markus “Notch” Persson’s recently purchased $70 million home in Los Angeles, California entirely in-game. We all knew this was coming, right?
Notch outbid Jay-Z and Beyonce for the home, pushing the entire story that much further over the top. You want it even further? The $70 million home set a record for the highest price ever paid for a Beverly Hills house.
YouTuber Dan Bovey is the one responsible for the video. The video we see in the bottom left corner of the clip is the official real estate clip from before the home was sold. You can find that in full right here.
This whole thing is pretty insane. What do you think of the Minecraft creator’s new digs?
