Those already subscribed to Google Play Music — formerly named All Access — will automatically gain access to Music Key, the new music video streaming service from YouTube, starting next week. In addition, Google will be making ad-free music videos available alongside selected tracks in the Play Music apps for Android and iOS.

When Google announced Music Key last week, the company made it clear that there would be some kind of partnership between the new YouTube service and its existing Play Music service. Those who subscribe to one will automatically gain access to the other at no extra cost.

But with Key Music launching in beta form initially, it was unclear when Play Music subscribers would get the chance to use it. Now an email being issued to those subscribers confirms the good news.

“Starting next week, as a Google Play Music subscriber, you’ll get free and complete access to the YouTube Music Key beta, a new service from YouTube where you can watch ad-free music videos, and keep the music playing in the background or when you’re offline,” Google’s message reads.

“The Google Play Music app will also include ad-free music videos alongside select tracks.”

Play Music subscribers won’t have to pay a penny extra to use Music Key, then, and they won’t need to do anything to upgrade; their Play Music accounts will automatically provide them with access to YouTube’s new beta when it goes live next week.

In addition to the videos available inside the Play Music app, Music Key will be accessible via the YouTube apps on Android and iOS, and via YouTube.com in your web browser.
