Microsoft is making moves with the Xbox One all over the world today, dropping prices, launching markets, and announcing release dates.

In the UK, Microsoft has dropped the price of the Xbox One to £329.99, making it cheaper than the PlayStation 4 (£349.99). I believe this is the first time the Xbox One has undercut the PlayStation 4 in any market.

The bundle doesn’t include Kinect or any games, but IGN points out that Amazon UK has the white Xbox One bundle including Sunset Overdrive listed for the same new price.

The system launched today in a few big markets: Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, and Taiwan, having launched throughout Europe, parts of South America, and Japan earlier this month – that last one with an especially loud thud. Microsoft’s console was also intended to launch today in China, but a last minute delay pushed that out. The new release date for the system is September 29 – not even a week later. The system will launch with 10 games including Forza Motorsport 5, Neverwinter Online, and 8 other titles.
