Spotify may pride itself on data-based suggestions, but the music streaming giant isn’t above trying human curators as well. A new addition to the service called In Residence will tap famous musicians to create something similar to Apple Music’s Beats 1 Internet radio.

Unlike Beats 1, In Residence won’t stream live. Instead, Spotify is releasing pre-recorded podcasts you can listen to at your leisure. The Swedish company is also offering a smaller roster of curators than Apple, at least for now.

The first four In Residence playlists come from Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones and a few other artists. By comparison, Apple tapped stars like Elton John, Pharrell and Drake to host their own shows on Beats 1. So, Spotify’s new feature probably won’t win over many Apple fans, but it’s another good reason for current users to stick around.

You can follow In Residence on Spotify now to catch all the latest podcasts as they’re released.
