We’ve known for well over a year that the next Tomb Raider game would be called Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Some concept art leaked last summer, confirming that the title hadn’t changed and, in all likelihood, wouldn’t. Then, yesterday, Square Enix updated the official Tomb Raider website, accidentally embedding a release date in the site’s source code.

Now, though, the wait is over – our first teaser for the game is here.

The game is being called the finale in “heroine Lara Croft’s origin trilogy,” which started in 2013 with the first Tomb Raider game and continued in 2015 and 2016 with Rise of the Tomb Raider as it first hit Xbox One, and then moved to PC and PlayStation 4.

The game looks to play on the sense of mystery and foreboding we still, even today, feel about solar eclipses, and head back to the Mayan ruins often associated with that.

Speaking of that, there is no exclusivity deal this time around. Lara’s leaping to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One all at the same time, all this fall.

While this teaser is pretty anemic in what it actually tells us about the game, it does tell us when the next car in the hype train it showing up. The full reveal for the game will be coming next month, on April 27. In the meantime, you have lots of time to check out the excellent Tomb Raider and refined Rise of the Tomb Raider, before this sequel hits.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider hits PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 18. If you just can’t wait and want a dose of Lara Croft right now, then you can also catch Tomb Raider in theaters starting tomorrow.
