Troy-Baker-Uncharted-4-630x419

Nolan North has carried the lion’s share of the Uncharted series as protagonist Nathan Drake for four entries now (counting the PS Vita), but he is about to get a little help from another familiar voice. Troy Baker, the voice of Booker Dewitt in BioShock Infinite and Joel in The Last of Us, will be joining him in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, playing as Nathan Drake’s big brother, Sam Drake.

The two biggest voice acting names in video games in one adventure. How can we resist? It certainly lives up to Uncharted’s reputation of “spectacle first.” It was Baker who confirmed the news on his official Twitter account.

Now that these two are being brought together for the first time, is it fair to ask who you prefer? Both of the actors have an enormous list of games to their names, but I think I am just altogether more familiar with Troy Baker because his extends further into the smaller Japanese productions like Catherine, Disgaea and Persona 4. I know people love Joel from The Last of Us, but I’ll always be a fan of Kanji Tatsumi.

We recently got a 15 minute first look at Uncharted 4: A Thief End‘s gameplay at PlayStation Experience over the weekend. I’ve never been the biggest fan of the series, so I will take that exciting trailer in stride, but I know a lot of people are looking forward to it unconditionally. Keep an eye out for the game exclusively on the PlayStation 4 sometime in 2015.
