If Xbox One is your platform of choice for Assassin’s Creed Unity, you might want to wait a bit before you download today’s big patch. If you’re on Xbox One, it’s a really big patch.

Like, it’s the whole game, instead of just the 6.7 gigabyte patch that went up this week.

“Unfortunately, an issue with the patch downloading process is replacing the entire game instead of just the parts affected by the patch,” said Ubisoft in a post on the official site. “We apologize that many of you will have to wait longer than expected to complete this download.”

“We are working with Microsoft on a solution to reduce the total download to the intended size so that you can get back into the game faster, but as of now we have no ETA on when this will be resolved.”

If you own the disc, you can simply uninstall and then reinstall the game, which will cause it to download just the intended 6.7 gig patch.

This is just the latest bump in the road for Assassin’s Creed Unity, which has been through a very rocky release window. The game released with major performance issues. There was that bug with the missing faces, of course. We saw the game’s potential but had a hard time looking past the game’s flaws in our review. Ubisoft even started giving away DLC and free games to make up for all the problems.
