Samsung always makes a big splash during the CES, and this year is no different. If you just got a new TV over the holidays, you may want to sit down. Samsung on Monday announced a new family of SUHD TVs, all of which are powered by the Tizen operating system that it has been developing internally.

The SUHD TVs will be offered in nine different screen sizes, ranging from 48-inches on the smaller end (which is actually pretty large), all the way up to 88-inches. The new families include the JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 series TVs, and the high-end JS9500 features a chamfer bezel design, an “elegant frame”

Samsung said that its SUHD TV’s “nano-crystal semiconductor transmits different colors of light depending on their size to produce the highest color purity and light efficiency available today,” and that results in more accurate colors, darker blacks and a much brighter display that’s up to 2.5x brighter than standard screens.

As for Tizen, it’s going to launch on all 2015 SUHD televisions and includes a new Samsung Smart Hub that should be easier to use, support for pairing with Samsung smartphones over Bluetooth Low Energy for sharing content, quick access to content form Comcast, Amazon, Netflix and other services that provide UHD video and more. There’s even a new sports application for quickly checking player and team stats, Samsung said.
