Nuketown has always been a popular map in the Call of Duty world. That will continue with Black Ops III, at least for those who pre-order the game or pick it up separately. Nuk3town, as it’s being called, is the pre-order bonus for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. I assume it will be sold as a standalone as well.

Treyarch and Activision have released a trailer for the new Nuk3town, complete with fresh weapons, a futuristic look, the ability to run on walls and, of course, new weaponry. Did I spot some sort of shuffleboard game in their, too?

Here’s how the company officially describes the new take on Nuketown.

Set in 2065, this fan favorite map from Black Ops has returned in a big way. Nuk3town has been re-designed from the ground up to highlight Treyarch’s new momentum-based, chained-movement system, allowing players to battle in this adrenaline-charged multiplayer map. Players will experience a new take on this classic run-and-gun, close-quarters map. Escape a harsh reality and enjoy this virtual neighborhood of the future.

Nuketown was one of my favorites when I played Call of Duty more regularly, too. It’s a nice map that blends close proximity fighting with some mid-range shooting, and there are plenty of paths across the small space.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms on Nov. 6, 2015. Nuk3town will not be available on the 360 or PS3 versions of the game.
