Google Assistant was once a feature limited to folks who owned the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Then, this week, LG announced that it will be coming to the LG G6. Motorola announced it will come to the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, too. But that’s not all. Google just said it’ll hit other devices running Android 7.0 and even Android 6.0. And you won’t have to wait long, the rollout will start this week.
Coming this week to US and other markets soon
“The Google Assistant will begin rolling out this week to English users in the U.S., followed by English in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as German speakers in Germany. We’ll continue to add more languages over the coming year,” Google said.
Unlike big Android updates, you won’t need to wait for a carrier update for Google Assistant. “The Google Assistant will automatically come to eligible Android phones running Nougat and Marshmallow with Google Play Services,” Google said. That’s awesome – we’ll let you know as we start to see it pop up this week.
