Comcast is preparing to launch a brand new app called Xfinity TV Go that will reportedly replace its existing Xfinity TV Player app. It will launch on Android and iOS and will offer 35 live TV channels spanning major networks. According to The Verge, which confirmed the story with a Comcast representative, the following channels will land in the lineup:

BBC World News, beIN Sport, beIN Sport Español, Big Ten Network, CNBC, CNN, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN 3, ESPN Deportes, ESPN News, ESPNU, FOX Business Channel, FOX News Channel, FOX Sports 1, FX, FXX, Golf Channel, HLN, MSNBC, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, NBC Sports Network, Pac-12 and Willow TC.

Xfinity TV Go will require a Wi-Fi connection though The Verge said Verizon Wireless customers will be treated to support over its 3G and LTE networks. AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are out of that deal, for now. It’s unclear if there will be an additional monthly fee to take advantage of the on-the-go-service, though for now it sounds like it will be free.
