Apple’s website has always been separate from its online store. One has been used to promote its products and services, and new things on the horizon like iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan, while the other has been used to sell you those things. But now they’ve both been rolled into one.

Visit Apple.com today and you’ll notice the company’s online store has been merged with its once-standalone website. The “Store” tab that previously appeared in the navigation bar has disappeared, and it’s been replaced by a shopping bag, where you’ll find everything you’ve added to your cart, along with links to favorites, orders, and your account.

You can buy products by clicking the “buy” buttons that appear on their dedicated pages, while “Accessories” pages can be found within related product pages, too. So iPhone cases appear in the iPhone section, iPad keyboards appear in the iPad section, and so on.

Having both sites rolled into the one streamlines the shopping experience somewhat by allowing users to purchase goods from the same page they would visit to find out about those products. It also prevents users from having to be redirected to a separate site to buy something.

“We redesigned Apple.com knowing that our customers want to explore, research and shop in one place,” an Apple representative told TechCrunch.

“The new Apple.com takes the very best of our existing site and our online store to give customers one simple destination to learn and buy without navigating between two different sites. We’ve also improved several of the site’s features to make shopping easier than ever for our customers.”
