When Samsung said it was working to deliver its Android 7.0 update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in January, we didn’t expect it to arrive so soon. But the South Korean company is now making Nougat available to some lucky users.

The update comes with build number G935FXXU1DPLR and features Google’s latest Android security patch for January, according to SamMobile. It also boasts all the changes, improvements, and new features found in Samsung’s Nougat beta releases.

This is more of a “soak test” than a widespread rollout for now, which means only a small number of users are getting the update. However, it indicates that Samsung is now ready to make Nougat available to the general public.

Providing no issues arise during this soak test, then, Nougat will be made available to all Galaxy S7 and S7 edge owners very soon.

It’s unclear how many users have been selected for the soak test, or in which regions it is available. If you’re one of the lucky ones, be sure to let us know down in the comments — and tell us what you think of Nougat for the Galaxy S7 series so far.
